Dear Friends and Family,

Todd and I are eloping to the Turks and Caicos at Grace Bay, we are getting married this Wednesday November 15!  We are very excited to plan our Wedding After Party weekend at Palm Island Resort, December 9th with you! We wanted to provide information and an interactive blog so we can put out as much information to help you navigate the weekend, as well as provide a forum where people can potentially partner up for rental cars and/or accommodations.

·         Many of you have already made reservations for the weekend, but for those that have not, here's a recap:  The resort is on a 2 mile island just north of Boca Grande, FL and accessible by ferry or boat only.   The island is completely natural, consisting of a few private homes and no commercial businesses.  The resort rents 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas, all of which are beach front.
Standard, Deluxe or Superior - 1 BR Villa –  $165/195/215 per night (800 Sq. feet)
Standard/Deluxe/Superior – 2 BR Villa – $195/245/275 per night (1100-1400 sq. ft.) sleeps 4-6
Standard/Deluxe/Superior - 3-BR Villa –  $265/330/385 per night (1750-2000 sq. ft.) sleeps 6-8
(These rates do not include taxes and require a 2 night minimum stay. Standard- basic with no upgrades, Deluxe- some portion has been upgraded or remodeled, Superior- upgraded and remodeled).
To reserve please call 941-697-4800 and mention the Kalas Wedding Party to insure you receive the above reduced price for our group.  Rooms will be released back to public price Wed. 11/15.
There will be a number of guests arriving on Thursday to enjoy a long weekend. The property has placed our villas on hold to reserve from Thursday 12/7 thru Sunday 12/10. You can extend your stay on Sunday until 5:00 pm for $50.
Should you decide to attend the Wedding After-Party only, the last ferry off the island Saturday night departs at midnight. If you are only planning to drive down for the wedding and need to stay one night, Boca Grande is your best options for hotels.  Michele can help with recommendations.
If you're driving onto the island just for the party, let us know so we can coordinate your ride across on the ferry.
For those planning to arrive by Thursday or Friday morning, there is the possibility of golf around 10:00 a.m. pending interests level or you can take part in an excursion to Boca Grande to explore the local attractions and have lunch.
Friday evening will be a low country shrimp boil at the home of Dara and Ben Fertic, located on Palm Island.
·         Saturday morning brunch begins at 10:00 am on the island, complete with Bloody Mary & Mimosa station, once again hosted by the Fertics, followed by afternoon beach activities.

·         The Wedding After-Party will begin at 6:00 pm at the resort clubhouse, outside under the tent.  The party attire will be semi-formal and the rest of the weekend will be beach casual.

We look forward to creating new memories together that will last a lifetime!

For those who have inquired, we are registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond and Pier One Imports under Allen/Kalas wedding .

With Love,
Michele and T.K.

  8. The beauty about this place is that they give you a somewhat blank canvas where you can create the wedding you envisioned, etc., which will be different from others. The staff at Seattle Wedding venues is incredible and professional.
